Wage Garnishment Ontario — Enforce Court Judgments
Wage garnishment is one of the most effective tools for enforcing a court judgment or LTB order in Ontario. Our licensed paralegals serve garnishment notices on a debtor's employer, directing a portion of the debtor's wages to be paid to you until the judgment is satisfied.
How Wage Garnishment Works
After obtaining a court judgment or LTB order, a creditor can file for a garnishment at the court. The garnishment notice is served on the debtor's employer, who must then redirect a prescribed portion of the employee's wages directly to the court for payment to the creditor.
Limits on Wage Garnishment
Ontario law limits the amount that can be garnished from wages. Generally, up to 20% of net wages may be garnished (50% for family support obligations). We help creditors maximise recovery within these limits.
